Juvenile Crime : Parents' or Teens' Fault ?

Haven't you heard about Juvenile Crime?
Or maybe you are the victim... or even the suspect of Juvenile Crime?

Juvenile crime is a crime done by children in school age. Total cases of juvenile crime has increased a lot nowadays. People who caught them doing the crime usually call them naughty. But have you ever thought of the possibility, is it really their, or I should say OUR fault? Or it could be parents' fault? ;)

As the illustration, I would like to take an example of a rotten apple.

Maybe catterpilars, the weather rot the apple. But it can also be the seed who rot it. The BAD seed grow into BAD roots. Bad roots grow into BAD stems, BAD branches, BAD leaves, and lastly BAD fruits!

That's just the same as teenagers' lives! The parents didn't give their best to educate their babies. So when their babies grow up, they become more and more naughty. This naughtiness can lead them to do juvenile crimes like vandalism, shoplifting, theft, fraud, and many more.

The big highlight here is : What Can Parents' Do to Prevent (or even !STOP! ) Their Children to Do Juvenile Crimes???

Firstly, parents have to act more friendly to their children. Teenagers need understanding friends, either at school or home. You can ask them how's their day at school? With whom do they play at school? Have they eaten something at school? , etc. Of course the way parents ask should be really nice and full of smiles. Countering a joke is one of the alternatives. Remember, you CAN'T ask them with angry look or with suspicious tone. That would make the children make a distant and will answer the questions dishonestly. But, if parents act nicely towards their children, believe me, they won't hesitate telling you their personal lives and secrets.

This one is a quite weird idea but worth a try : Make friend with your kids' friends. If you want to be reckoned as a good parents plus a good friend, you should act friendly and just be young. You can start it by using their words, like slangs and acronyms. You must be up-to-date, too. Your kids' friends will be fascinated by you, and she/he will definitely tell you informations you don't know about your children. :)
And if you know that their friends are bad ones, tell them straightly. Don't prohibit them strongly, but just tell them that you're worried. Make sure that you keep your eyes real close to the friends of your kids.

Next, you must lecture them without them knowing. For example you tell your kids a story about "A" who did naughty things and was dropped out by school. Make an interactions and see what your kids' response. Make sure that you tell them in a proper way. Once again, friendly look and nice tone. Moreover, you shouldn't compare your children with his younger or elder brother/sister. Let them be themselves. Comparing them will make the situation worse. Your children could rebel more than now.

Furthermore, you should spend a quality time together, sharing something heart to heart. In this case, good communication is the key to all problems. You should listen what your children hate about you. Well, this require a lot of understandings, but it surely works out.

Last but not the least, and the MOST important one, you should strengthen your kids' faith and moral. Ask them to pray together and do small kindness everyday. Do not hesitate to compliment them if they do nice things. Such compliments will encourage them to become a better person day by day.

I don't know who read this post.
If you are a teenager, just show this to your parents.
If you are a mother or a father, please please please change up!
We don't want our beloved ones do juvenile crimes right? :)
