What's up, dudes?
I'm feeling satisfully tired because of the whole-day dance practice. Tomorrow is my first "girlband" rehearsal on my friend's sweet 17th birthday party, and yet I have to make some concepts for DBL.
Being so stressful also that I got some sprues on my lips ! :(
Anyway, I'm getting bored on posting the Hip Hop techniques. I need some refreshments, and I'm pretty sure you readers think the same ! Haha.
Today, I'll post you tips and tricks how to look like a hip hop dancer ;;)
Basic rules you need to understand :
1. Skinny girls : avoid using tank top with no bracelets on, because it shows your small arms and make you look skinnier.
2. Fat girls : avoid using oversize clothes! It is a HUGE mistake mostly done. Use a body-shaper clothes, but not pressed-body clothes! *it's quite a big difference y' know?
Must have items here are :
1. Oversize baggy pants
2. Oversize tee
3. Tanktops
4. Rectangular cloth
5. Jackets
6. Chains, bracelets, hats, big rings, or any other accessories you love
7. High top shoes

Actually, most people still think that hip hop style refers to black and dark clothes. It's just the old thoughts! Hip hop dancers wear more stylish outfits nowadays, with bright, daring colours and cuttings.
You may choose your own style, divided into 5 :
- Funk look
- Jerkers look
- Preppy look
- Girly (sexy) look
- Korean look
FUNK LOOK
This one shows a strong characteristic of a sporty person. Usually the person on this character wears jersey, hoodie jacket, with baggy pants. Girls usually show their exercises' results by using cropped tee. To look more funky, you can fold one side of the leg up. That will show your well-built calf. Hats are also suitable for these outfits. You can take your hoodie on above your hats, or either just take the hoodie off ! Big bright-coloured belts also help to stun out your appearance.
How about the hair do?
It's quite simple for this style. Girls, you can just bind your hair into high ponytail. Or side ponytail (?) Both of them are good. Or you just curl your hair so it becomes smooth waved hair. It is incredibly cool when you match it up with bright-coloured hats. Boys ? That's no problem fortunately. You guys will look handsome in any ways, but make sure you don't have your hair bugging your eyes.

JERKERS LOOK
As I mentioned before in my previous post, all jerkers look have quite similar styles. It's always been the same : colorful skinny jeans, cartoon tee, hats, chains, belts, high tops / low tops. When you are taking a walk, you can hang your eyecatchy-coloured headphones.
Or... If you don't have headphones, long metal necklace is one of the alternatives !
PREPPY LOOK
The key is to be neat and clean. It shows your nerdy, edgy side. Items you can use for this category are neutral-colored vests (well-tailored ones!) , pastel-coloured shirts, trousers, classic ties, suspenders, and pantoufel.
For the accessories, you may use glasses.
For girls, there are quite more options. High-waisted A line or Ploy skirts (these will be more interesting when you use tartan motives! Just like Japanese or Korean uniforms :D). Plus shirts with no sleeves. You can also add up bow tie and long socks. No specific hair do. Repeating from above's words : Neat and Clean, baby. Just that all.

GIRLY LOOK
This one is specifically for girls. This is the time to show up your superiority on body curves ! =P
What I suggest is to use cropped tee. Or if you get bored of the ordinary cropped tee, try to modificate your own tanktop ! You can cut it whatever you want to. Or you can bind long tee into one side to show your belly.
Next options, you may use a black bra, with opened long vest. 3/4 baggy pants are also a good choice. Wanna have some swag on? Fold your rectangular cloth into triangle. Then put it inside your back pockets, let one side of the cloth hanging on your butt. Hell ouch, Shawty. Boys will never get bored watching at you ;;) You can use low top shoes with wedges/heels to touch up the sexy look on your legs.
Hair do must be curly and taken up for freshness touch.

KOREAN LOOK
One special characteristic of this look is the combination of colours and patterns. You don't combine neutral colours with bright colours, but you have to combine the "unmatch" colours! What you call "unmatch" makes the look more unique and interesting. The patterns, too. It'll be boring if you use only one pattern on your clothes. For example, stripes! Stripes will never die. Use large black and white stripes for the pointed-shoulder cardigans, horizontal thin red and black stripes for the inner, and finally newspaper-printed leggings. Boys, use colorful tee with dark suede jacket. Make sure you use boxer within your sagging baggy pants.Voila! :D
The keyword is DARE to be DIFFERENT.
Girls, you can bind your hair to any side you like. The stranger it seems, the more interesting it will be. Ankle boots with heels are a must. Big, long necklaces can be used altogether with this kind of outifts. You'd better use no bracelets, but statement rings. Boys should wear black metal bracelets, while the hair should be "bugging" the eyes, haha. Long and messy. Avoid beard and moustache. Believe me, girls will freak out.
